Frequently Asked Questions
How do I create an account?
Download the Dune Fitness app and tap "Create New Account" on the login screen. Enter your email, password, date of birth, and select your role (Trainer or Client).
How do I connect with my trainer?
Ask your trainer for their invite code (e.g., ALI-7X3K). You can enter it during signup or later in the Profile tab under the Trainer section. Tap "LINK" to connect.
How do I reset my password?
On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password?" and enter your email address. You'll receive a password reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.
How do I add friends?
Go to the Friends tab and tap the friends bar to open the friends modal. Search for a friend by their username, then tap "Add" to send a friend request. You can also use the "Invite Friend to App" button to share an invite link.
How do I change my color theme?
Go to the Profile tab, scroll to "Workout & App Preferences", and tap one of the three color theme options (Teal, Burnt Yellow, or Purple & Gold).
How do I delete my account?
Open the app and navigate to your Profile (tap the gear icon in the top right). Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account & Data." You will be asked to confirm twice before your account and all associated data are permanently removed. Is my health data shared?
No. If you enable Health Sync, your workout data is synced directly between the app and Apple Health or Health Connect on your device. We do not store or share health platform data on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How do I report inappropriate content or behavior?
Tap the flag icon next to any comment or activity in the Friends feed, or tap the Report button on a user's profile. You'll be asked to choose a reason (spam, harassment, sexual content, hate speech, self-harm or violence, impersonation, or other). Our team reviews every report within 24 hours and takes action when warranted.
How do I block another user?
On the user's profile, tap Report. Reporting a user also blocks them — they will no longer appear in your feed or be able to interact with you. The friendship is removed and any pending friend requests in either direction are cancelled.
What happens if my account is reported?
If a moderator determines that the report is valid, we typically apply a social restriction: your friend, post, and competition features are disabled, but you retain full access to your own workout history, programs, and progress tracking. You'll receive an email explaining the action and the reason for it. Severe or repeated violations may result in full account suspension.
How do I appeal a moderation action?
Reply directly to the notification email you received within 30 days of the action. A human will review your appeal and respond. We aim to reply within 30 days.
How do I request a copy of my data?
Email support@dunefitness.co from the address tied to your account. Under GDPR (EU) and CCPA (California) you have the right to obtain a structured copy of your personal data; we respond to verified requests within 30 days.
How do I cancel my Pro subscription or request a refund?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google — not by Dune Fitness. To cancel renewal:
- iPhone / iPad: Open apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions or go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
- Android: Open play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions or tap your profile in the Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
Refund requests are handled by the platform: reportaproblem.apple.com for Apple, or via the Play Store order history for Google. Reach out to support@dunefitness.co if you need help.
